SikaPlast®-480

Superplasticizing admixture for ready-mix applications

SikaPlast®-480 is a universal superplasticizer admixture with a strong effect for ready-mix concrete.

The use of the admixture SikaPlast®-480 will offers to the concrete the following characteristics:  
  • Better dispersion and hydration of the cement
  • Workability retention
  • Reducing the W/C ratio
  • Lower friction between cement and aggregates
  Concrete prepared with SikaPlast®-480 will have the following advantages:
  • Low W/C ratio due to strong water reduction (by default high densities and resistances)
  • Fluid consistency due to the strong fluidizing effect (reduced costs of commissioning and vibration)
  • Increased working time, even at high temperatures
  • Improved stability and homogeneity at high consistency of concrete even in concretes with fine part deficiency

Utilizare

SikaPlast®-480 was specially designed for the preparation of concretes with a very good workability retention. Can be used for the following types of concrete:
  • Ready-mix concrete with high consistency
  • Ready-mix concrete with low w/c ratio
  • Concretes for the preparation of which cements with a high degree of additions were used (ex: CEM II B / CEM III / SR)
  • Ready mix concrete with the maintenance of workability
  • Ready mix concrete with minimum loss of workability
  • Ready mix concrete produced and transported during the summer

Compatibilitate

Aditivul SikaPlast®-480 is compatible with all cement combinations according to EN 197-1.
Aditivul SikaPlast®-480 is compatible with all Sika admixtures.
Consum

Dozaj recomandat

Recommended dosage of SikaPlast®-480 is between 0,2 – 2,1% by weight of cement.
Pași aplicare

INSTRUCȚIUNI DE APLICARE

SikaPlast®-480 is added to the gauging water or added with it into the concrete mixer towards the end of mixing.

Shall not be added to dry mixture.

The mixing time will be adjusted according to the type and power of the mixer.

 

It is recommended to maintain a mixing time of at least 45-60 seconds.

To avoid the use of excessive water, the final water corrections should be made after 2/3 of the mixing time.

Dosing in the mixer at the casting site, the admixture should be properly homogenized in the concrete mass.

After dosing of the admixture in the mixer, a mixing of at least 1 minute/m3 but not less than 5 minutes / mixer will be performed.
